Research Interests

We are interested in the pathogenesis of acute and chronic kidney disease.  Using a variety of techinques spanning whole animal (rodent) to molecular analyses, we investigate the pathways causing kidney dysfunction in tubular and glomerular disorders.  Our work has focused on the KEAP1/NRF2 pathway on tubular, endothelial, and podocyte cells in the kidney.  We also evaluate the unique role of renal nerves in disease pathogenesis.
